La zéolite Y est utilisée comme catalyseur de craquage dans les unités de craquage catalytique des raffineries de pétrole pour convertir des fractions à ébullition élevée de pétrole brut en essence, diesel et autres produits plus précieux. Zeolite Y is used as a cracking catalyst in petroleum refinery catalytic cracking units to convert high-boiling fractions of petroleum crude to more valuable gasoline, diesel and other products. Used in detergent manufacturing for the applications of the removal of hardness. It is also used as Odor control, industrial absorbents, industrial fillers, gas absorption, soil remediation, wastewater filtration, flocculating agent, animal feeds, hydroponics, molecular sieves, desiccants, lightweight concrete, acoustics and ceramics.
