Diethylsilane is used as a precursor to prepare (3-allylsulfanyl-propyl)-diethyl-silane by using (Ph3P)3RhCl as reagent. It is also used in the chemical vapor deposition of SiO2 for microelectronics.

Applications
Le diéthylsilane est utilisé comme précurseur pour préparer le (3-allylsulfanyl-propyl)-diéthyl-silane en utilisant le (Ph3P)3RhCl comme réactif. Il est également utilisé dans le dépôt de vapeur chimique de SiO2 en microélectronique.

Solubilité
Miscible avec le térahydrofurane, l’éther diéthylique, le 1,4-dioxane et le benzène.

Remarques
Sensible à l’humidité. Stockez-le dans un endroit frais. Garder le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts, les bases, l’oxygène et l’eau.
