In Anion-templated assembly of [2] rotaxanes, the addition of tetrabutylammonium (TBA) halide, dihydrogen phosphate and hydrogen sulfate salts to dichloromethane-d 2 solutions of both derivatives resulted in significant downfield shift perturbations of the respective compounds' aryl b and amide c protons.
