Description
Deoxycholic acid has been used in a modified procedure to recover 40-80% of a protein from a 1 μg/mL solution. It forms complexes with fatty acid. Used as an emulsifying agent in food, a precursor in the synthesis of cortisone, and a gallbladder stimulant. It has been used to study assess how physiological concentrations of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) vs. deoxycholic acid (DCA) affect barrier function in mouse intestinal tissue. Deoxycholic acid has been used in a study to assess a pH-Responsive Mechanism of a Deoxycholic Acid and Folate Co-Modified Chitosan Micelle under Cancerous Environment. It has also been used in a study to investigate dose-dependent anti-inflammatory effect of ursodeoxycholic acid in experimental colitis.

ApplicationsL’acide désoxycholique a été utilisé dans une procédure modifiée pour récupérer 40 à 80 % d’une protéine à partir d’une solution de 1 µg/ml. Il forme des complexes avec des acides gras. Utilisé comme agent émulsifiant dans les aliments, précurseur dans la synthèse de la cortisone et stimulant de la vésicule biliaire. Il a été utilisé pour étudier comment les concentrations physiologiques de l’acide ursodésoxycholique (UDCA) par rapport à l’acide désoxycholique (DCA) affectent la fonction barrière dans le tissu intestinal de la souris. L’acide désoxycholique a été utilisé dans le cadre d’une étude visant à évaluer un mécanisme réactif au pH d’un acide désoxycholique et d’un chitosan micelle folate co-modifié dans un environnement cancéreux. Il a également été utilisé pour étudier l’effet anti-inflammatoire dépendant de la dose d’acide ursodésoxycholique dans la colite expérimentale.
Solubilité
L’acide libre est soluble à 0,044 g/l dans l’eau à 20°C. La solubilité dans le méthanol est pratiquement transparente.
