Description
Imidazole-2-carboxaldehyde is a novel protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) inhibitor with an important application to treat type-2 diabetes. It is used in the preparation of tridentate Schiff-base carboxylate-containing ligands by undergoing condensation reaction with amino acids beta-alanine and 2-aminobenzoic acid. It is also involved in the study of the imidazole-directed allylation of aldimines.

L’imidazole-2-carboxaldéhyde est un nouvel inhibiteur de la protéine tyrosine phosphatase B1 (PTP1B) avec une application importante pour traiter le diabète de type 2. Il est utilisé dans la préparation de ligands contenant du carboxylate à base de Schiff tridenté en faisant l’objet d’une réaction de condensation avec les acides aminés bêta-alanine et l’acide 2-aminobenzoïque. Il participe également à l’étude de l’allylation dirigée par l’imidazole des aldimines.

Remarques
Sensible à l’air. Gardez le récipient hermétiquement fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
