Aluminum acetate, basic hydrate is used in medicine as an astringent and an antiseptic. It is also used as a mordant in dyeing, waterproofing and fireproofing agent. Further, it acts as a disinfectant in embalming and a dusting powder. In addition to this, it is used in antiperspirants.

Applications
L’acétate d’aluminium, hydrate de base, est utilisé en médecine comme astringent et antiseptique. Il est également utilisé comme mordant pour la teinture, l’étanchéité et l’ignifugation. Il fait par ailleurs office de désinfectant lors de l’embaumement et de poudre antiseptique. De plus, il est utilisé dans les antisudorifiques.
